Memory Lane Monday: Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick

Yes, it is that time of the week. The day we dread and wish would never come- Mondays. *Wipes tear* But have no fear, Memory Lane Monday is here! Every Monday, here at TheYABookworm, I'll do a special post called Memory Lane Monday. What's that you ask? Memory Lane Monday is a once-a-week post where I (or any other bloggers that wish to participate)  choose one book that I've previously read to be featured on that day. From the book chosen, I will pick two of my favourite quotes and write a little blurb containing my quick thoughts on the book. The books that I choose will not be books I've reviewed- since I've read so many books, I want to share with you my opinions on ones that I won't get the chance to fully review (because seriously, rereading dozens of books would take a year...or two)! Be sure to participate by leaving your "Memory Lane Monday" in the comments, or a link to your blog post with the hash-tag #YAMemoryLaneMonday on twitter :D

This Week's Memory Lane Monday...
Silence By: Becca Fitzpatrick
WHEN SILENCE IS ALL THAT'S LEFT, CAN THE TRUTH FINALLY BE HEARD?

Nora Grey can't remember the past five months of her life. After the initial shock of waking up in a cemetery and being told that she has been missing for weeks - with no one knowing where she was or who she was with - she tried to get her life back on track. Go to school, hang out with her best friend, Vee, and dodge mom's creepy new boyfriend.

But there is this voice in the back of her head, an idea that she can almost reach out and touch. Visions of angel wings and unearthly creatures that have nothing to do with the life she knows.

And this unshakable feeling that a part of her is missing.

Then Nora crosses paths with a sexy stranger, whom she feels a mesmerizing connection to. He seems to hold all the answers...and her heart. Every minute she spends with him grows more and more intense until she realizes she could be falling in love. Again.

Top Two Favourite Quotes..
#1 He inclined his head at my dress. "What's the occasion?"
"Homecoming," I said, twirling. "Like?"
"Last I heard, Homecoming requires a date."
"About that," I hedged. "I'm sort of...going with Scott. We both figure a high-school dance is the last place Hank will be patrolling."
Patch smiled, but it was tight. "I take that back. If Hank wants to shoot Scott, he has my blessing.”

#2 “Hmm?' I looked away, flustered automatically using irritation to cover my discomfort up. 'What does 'hmm' have to do with anything? Could you ever use more that five words? All this grunting and minced words make you come across-- primal.'
His smile tipped higher. 'Primal.'
'You're impossible.'
'Me Jev, you Nora.'

****Warning: If you have not read Silence, do not read this Memory Lane Monday. It's the third book to a series so there will be spoilers! XO...****

Happy Monday everybody! Today's Memory Lane Monday comes from Silence (Hush Hush #3) by Becca Fitzpatrick! Now, you might be wondering why I've featured two books from the same series these past two weeks. Well, the reason for this my dear bookworms, is due to the fact FINALE (the fourth and final Hush Hush novel) comes out tomorrow *inserts fangirling*

....Yeah.....that just happened =)

Anyhoo, like I said earlier, Silence is the third instalment in the Hush Hush trilogy, and I have to say, it absolutely killed me. Nora's inability to remember Patch was the cruellest thing Becca Fitzpatrick has ever done to me- every encounter Nora had with Patch made me want to literally slap some memory into that head of hers :P

My reaction to Nora forgetting Patch...

But then, when Nora finally regained her memory, I was all like...

...and I was a happy bookworm! 8)

Although Nora loosing her memory was absolute agony, it did give us the opportunity to see Nora and Patch fall in love all over again- and who doesn't love that?!

Well that's it for this week's Memory Lane Monday- I hope you guys liked the GIFS I used (I thought it would be a fun way to show my feelings for the book :P) What did you think about Silence? Are you excited for Finale? Be sure to let me know in the comments below! See you next Monday!

Your Y.A. Bookworm,
Caitlin <3
